Re: uterine inversionFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Fri Aug 29 20:47:22 2003
I could be wrong - I don't have a text book here at home to check! I learned that "procidentia" was exactly what was pictured - the complete prolase of the uterus - so the vagina is 100% "wrong side out" - just as it is in this picture. Are you saying that "procidentia" refers to any level of prolapse? We alwyas used procidentia for the total prolapse. I can learn new things. Can someone clarify this (since no textbook is near me at this moment!) Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
