CF carrier testing

Got my first positive CF carrier test. Hadn't thought that far ahead, but dad is now asking how strongly I recommend he get tested. IPA paid for mom's test because she has a card, but dad does not. $349 test. I told dad he and mom will have to discuss it and make the decision since he has no insurance. Another one of the hazards of teen sex that he obviously hadn't considered.

Just curious, what kind of reactions have y'all encountered to positive tests when dad is uninsured and faced with shelling out big bucks on this one?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
