Re: Novasure troubleshootingFrom: Joanne Bulley, MD (islesannie@yahoo.com)Thu Aug 28 22:17:45 2003
The EndoLoop was for the patulous cervix - to be sure the "leak" wasn't out the cerivx. It was done on recommendation (over the phone) by the Doctor "on call" for the system when the rep is "out in the field". If the leak was ONLY the cervix - then it would have been ok to proceed - but if it was from higher up then it wouldn't. With the Novasure you don't need to pretreat - whereas with the rollerball I was taught to pretreat with Lupron. Had you pretreated - or did you do a combination resection - rollerball? Thanks Joanne

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
