alternatives to medical practice

We all moan about the high cost of insurance, which has even forced some of our listers to close their doors. We moan about patients, who seem just to want to win the lottery. So, over the last few months I have really tried to figure out an exit strategy, perhaps as soon as 5 years from now. But, what exactly is a medical degree good for except practicing medicine? I realize that a law degree or business degree is an option, but what else has anyone considered? I was wondering if there are any opinions on where to go from medicine, if the price of a medical practice becomes to high to practice medicine?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
