My colleague came up with a problem I don't know the answer to: What would you use to treat a patient in the second trimester with a complaint of excessive salivation? My first thought was that atropine and its analogues would not be a good idea, and I suggested an antacid in case it is related to reflux, nausea and "waterbrash", but I said I would ask you erudite lot if any of you have come across it and if so what would you suggest? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
