And here lies the rub (or at least ONE of the rubs):

The story states: "Most of the people in the rambunctious crowd of 2,000 were physicians - among the wealthiest and most privileged professionals in the nation, people whom others view as charter members of the American elite."

What does THAT say? How about: "Doctors, you rich a**holes, quit your bitching. You make so damned much money already, and think you're so much above the rest of us! See how WE feel, grubbing for money to buy groceries and pay the rent!"

That type of background sentiment, just tossed in by the reporter as common knowledge, shows you what doctors are up against. Charter members of the American elite, huh? How are you guys in other countries looked upon? Any Canadian elite, or British elite, or Namibian elite out there?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
