Pap SmearFrom: Kimberly (KimberLe855@hotmail.com)Sun Jun 29 02:05:42 2003
I am 19 years old and I have an appointment to have a PAP Smear. I have had one before and I understand how one is performed. Since my last pap smear, I have been somewhat "active" with my boyfriend, however we have not had sex. My question is, can an OBGYN obtain this sort of information from the examination? What are they able to distinguish?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
