The offending organ was a little hard to find but definately ready to burst when we were there. We decided to take your advice and perform only the appy, based upon everyone's comments. The risk of spreading infection to a C-section site was also considered as a reason to avoid 2 procedures. The patient is contracting occasionally though her cervix is unchanged. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
