Better to say , Acute Abdomen .Surgens sometimes open and pathology result comes as a bird .( as ajoke we call it you found bird ,means nothing ) I decide according to patient .Normal procedure should be appendectomy and normal delivery . But if there is indication for C/S , first do the c/s , then look for the appendix .

In the discussion about appendicectomy at 36.5 weeks the consensus was NOT to do a caesarean section at the time of appendicectomy. The main reason being the fear of inviting complications. However, the initial query about scar dehiscence in the 2nd stage of labour remains, particularly if the incision needs to be placed higher (and not a classical appendicectomy incision). It will be interesting to know what the listers will do if someone develops acute appendicitis, say at, 40 weeks.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
