Not necessarily true at 36 weeks pregnancy. The incision is usually made above the Umbilicus and is usually longer than the typical Appy incision. This is because it is behind the broad ligament and much more dificult to get at. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
