Buying in to practices.

I would be interested in hearing from some of the members of the group on how recent Partnerships were formed. Especially with regards to how much "roughly" of a buy in was expected. I am in a situation where the owner of the practice I work for seems to really want too much for a buy in. I make $180,000 and have worked in the practice for one year. He wants to retire, but is willing to stay on doing GYN only and wants to sell me half the practice for $350,000 which he states is half of the loan value based on collections. I have had many people tell me he is dreaming. Please email if you have any suggestions. Right now i wish I had not signed a no compete clause.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
