I don't disagree with this in principle, but one point to be considered is that it is THIS woman whose future fertility needs to be prevented, not necessarily THIS couple. I.e. even if she changes relationships she will still need the contraception; thus a vasectomy could be described as potentially only temporary for her!

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit.
