RULES FOR THE INDUSTRY FORUM
RULES FOR POSTING TO THE industry@obgyn.net FORUM
- The Forum on the OBGYN.net Industry FOrum is for each of you to use as often as you wish to exchange thoughts and ideas with other individuals concerned with the women's health medical industry.
- Medical professionals, women, men, and industry professionals are welcome to participate as long as the posts have relevancy in the context of industry discussion.
- The medical professionals and women who participate volunteer their time to industry@obgyn.net and we can not thank them enough.
- Everyone who posts should be treated with respect and kindness. There is no "THEM" or "US". We are all members of the OBGYN.net family.
- No Private emails to other participants unless you have been invited to do so by them. If anyone requests that you cease to post to them privately you must respect their wishes. If this rule is not followed sender will be reminded one time and repeat posting to will result in loss of posting privileges.
- All Questions and Answers to the Forum should be presented in a medical, supportive, and/or personal life experience format. DO NOT keep repeating the same answer to everyone who posts a question. Although you may want to share something that you have found helpful try not to dominate the discussions with a single viewpoint.
- INDUSTRY@obgyn.net is not the place for JOKES. Humorous or funny personal anecdotes relevant to the topic of the post are not JOKES and are fine, but canned jokes DO NOT belong on industry@obgyn.net. Please remember, what is funny to one person might be offensive to another.
- Please do not use the words Help, Worried, Urgent, etc.. in Subject Line. Each post is important to each of the senders and those words only encourage EVERY post to begin with Urgent, thus defeating the purpose of trying to get an answer. A far more effective method is to state the nature of your post in the subject heading. This will be more likely to result in answers from someone familiar with your situation.
- Please remember, this forum IS NOT A Debating Forum; so therefore we must insist that people with a strong difference of opinion do not slam, flame, bait, insinuate, or "name/names" in postings. We are all entitled to our own and different opinions. This forum is not a place for Debate on treatments, personal lifestyle decisions, or moral or religious judgements.
- Sharing information about products or services is encouraged. Commercial mass sales and marketing posts are not acceptable.
- PLEASE do not ask more than two questions in the same post. If you want to ask more break them into separate messages with separate subject headings.
- When replying to a post please cut out all but the relevant part of the post you are replying to.
- PLEASE search the archives for your answer first before asking a question.
- Do not send encoded documents to the list. Ascii text only, please.
- Absolutely NO profanity will be tolerated
- NO commercial advertisements either direct or indirect (e.g., "infomercials")
- OBGYN.net reserves the right to edit out posts from the archives that do not follow the Rules and Guidelines.
- OBGYN.net reserves the right to block access to industry@obgyn.net to anyone who does not adhere to the Rules and Guidelines.
Thank you,
Roberta Speyer
