need adviceFrom: isa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue Aug 30 12:58:27 2005
Hello I'm Isa... I'm new to this list, don't know really how it works or who I'm talking to... English is not my mothertongue.. so please forgive my english... but I need some advice... I'm 25 and I'm diagnozed to have a severe endometriosis. I had a surgery last year to remove both endometriosis (8cms.) and adhesions, ovaries and utherous were fine and I kept them intact. After that I took danazol for 6 months, until last december. They did blood tests, and an ultrasound everything seemd to be ok. Since march this year I've been having a lot of pain during and after sexual intercourse and around ten days after my period. They thought it was colon problems, so I changed my diet and tooks osme pills... it didn't work, and got even worse... so I went back to my OBGYN and she ordered more tests and here we go again I have a mass of endometriosis just as big as the one she took out a year ago... It's very hard for me to belive it even after I've seen the ultrasound... and my OBGYN says that I will need another surgery. I'd like to wait and try alternative medicine, since what they did didn't work at all. But she says it very dangerous to wait, because the endometriosis tissue could cause some damage or complications. I don't know what to do... I know I have to do something, and the pain is getting worse... but all the surgery pain and the danazol was sooooo terrible I was really menopausic with depresions, cramps, bloating, no sexual desire... It was 6 months of hell... and it didn't work at all.. Well I'll be waiting for any advice... sorry if this went soooo long but I'm really desperate...
