Re: Is there anyone out there that has ENDO, but has never taken birth control?

Hi Tiffini,

I had endo symptoms from puberty for 11 years before being diagnosed, and didn't take any form of birth control until the last year of that time - and then only as an effort to control the pain and heavy bleeding. I then tried a stint on the BCP which made me very ill - I lost heaps of weight over 2 months (down to 49kg) and was nauseous all the time. After that experience my doc finally took my mutterings of endo seriously and refered me to a gyn, and I had a lap and got my diagnosis. Since I had the symptoms for over 10 years before taking the pill I don't believe that it had anything to do with my endo. I'm on the pill again now, having found one that my body mostly tolerates (at least I'm not losing weight now, still a bit nauseous from time to time).

Godbless, Georgie
