Re: Best birth control pill for endo maintenanceFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Sep 27 13:03:12 2004
I take lo-ovral (generic is low ogesterol) for both birth control and endo maintenance and it works good for me. It does cause me to have a lowered libido, but it doesn't give me other side effects. I have tried several bcps and this one helps my endo the best and does not give me migraines, which some of them did. As I understand, lo-ovral is commonly prescribed for endo patients because it has low estrogen and higher progestrin. Might ask your Doc about it and see what he says. Glad to hear you did good on Lupron. I am on it for the second time and do well too, but so many others don't. It is always nice to hear of someone else who is actually benefitting from the Lupron without bad side effects. I wish it could work so well for everyone. Good luck with everything! Hugs! Amy Meyer
