Re: Confused - If Lupron Is Not a Solution - Why Does Anyone Take It?

No, Lupron is not a solution, nor is a lap, nor is a hysto since there is no cure for endometriosis. For me, and many others, taking Lupron is buying some pain free time and pushing off more radical surgery. I am lucky to do well on Lupron. I have few side effects and the pain for me is completely gone while I am on the shots and I tend to stay pain free for a year or more after stopping it. So while it is not a solution, it is something that helps me for the time being. Everyone is in different situations and has different reasons for taking it. Some of us have chosen it because there aren't really any options left. Just my two cents!

Hugs! Amy
