Hi Britty
I just wanted to write you another message as it infuriates me to hear
yet another endo/adeno sufferer being told aload of ****! I had such a
hard time of it and spent all my time in and out of hospital as a
result.
Make sure you get a couple of medical opinions before doing something as
huge as a hysterectomy. I am not sure if you know (if you do please
excuse my explanation) but, endometriosis is the lining of the womb
(endometrial layer) found elsewhere in your body and adenoymosis is the
lining of the womb found inside the womb. A hysteroscopy is a small
scope inserted inside your uterus and thus they will be able to see if
you have it or not just as they test of endo. I think with any symptom
of endo or adenomyosis a hysterectomy is a last resort. I would advise
having this procedure and if they find out you have it you can maybe
temporarily relieve your pain (or at least illiminate it). For example
due to my adenomyosis I was continuously bleeding and had the coil
inserted during the op and haven't bled since!
Hope this helps
