Re: Zoladex Injections for EndometriosisFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed Mar 31 16:03:21 2004
Kellie, I received Zoladex injections in lieu of Lupron in 2001 also following laser surgery. At that time, Lupron was the drug of choice, but I had friends who had horrible side effects while on Lupron and did a little investigating on my own and found that side effects for Zoladex appeared to be less severe. I also had a friend who worked for Astra Zeneca (the products mfr) and she was able to get me additional information. I did not have clotting - however, I had a period after my first injection. I did not have another period for 9 months, though after that - which was complete heaven! My dr had to give me an additional medication to get my periods to start back up. Good luck with your treatment! Could anyone advise whether they have experienced similar symptoms. As I understood that Zoladex would stop my periods almost immediately after being administered. As you can imagine, I am a little worried.
