Vioxx is good if you have mild-Moderate chronic pain. It doesnt work as well or fast for acute severe pain (like cramps) as Anaprox DS or Toradol does. For me Bextra is better than Vioxx which is better than Celebrex. These drugs take the edge off but they may not be enough when your pain is severe. Another problem is that they last 24 hours so once you have taken your dose, if severe pain comes on, you "shouldn't" take a better antiinflammatory until 24 hrs have passed. You can however mix it with narcotics if you need to. I hope this helps. Amanda
