Re: ADHESIONSFrom: amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Mar 24 00:35:52 2004
I completely understand the frustration you are experiencing. I am up right now at 1:30am waiting for my pain meds to kick in so i can go back to sleep. I have crohn's and endo and was told my adhesion was due to my crohn's causing my cecum to become inflamed and then then endo sticking it to my ovary. Who knows what is going on because it seems like every doctor has a different story as to why the adhesions are there to begin with. I just found this out after my 2nd lap a month ago. I was told i needed a general surgeon to separate my organs and that he could not do it. I know that is where my pain is coming from. It is the same specific spot the most of my pain has been coming from for years. It seems like the medical community would be able to help out more than they do. I think sometimes it is because it doesn't affect men so there just isn't the funding for the research that needs to be done to find a cure. Just hang in there! We all know how you feel and will continue to be there for you when you need to talk. I undertand your pain, I really do. Maybe look for an endo specialist in your area, that is why I have been trying to do. I hear that they actually do exist:) Take care, Amy
