I had a large grapefruit size endometrial cyst removed a little less than 2 years ago from my left ovary. I found out about it after having sudden pain in my left side. The surgeon who removed the cyst said the pain was probably from the hemoraging from the ovary after I ovulated. He said I had sevre endometriosis(pretty much knew that from when I was 12). He put me on Lupron for 6 months(not a terrible experience, just one I don't want to go through again). I tried to go on the patch afterwards I could not stand the hormones and it seemed to make my periods heavier. After a year they took another ultrasound. They saw 2 small (3cm) cysts on my ovaries. The doctor was not to concerned about them. I went back to the doctor just recently because of some abnormal discharge and feelings in my abdomen. He felt a larger cysts again. He sent me for another ultrasound The one on my right ovary doubled in size to 7cm. He suggest going back on Lupron for 3 months and seeing if it will shrink or having a hystorectomy. After the initial shock wore off I talked to him again and he said he may be able to take just the right ovary, since I am concerned about ostoperosis, as it is something my mother developed at an early age. I am 34 with one child, and am not really looking to have any more so at least I don't have that worry. I really am not in that much pain yet, although the stress is killing me. Are there any other options?
