Any College Students???? Missing Classes Anyone????

HELP!!I am a junior in college and I am having the hardest time this semester. I have missed classes because I am contantly in pain and I am always tired. I have spoken to my professors about it and they have been pretty understanding , but I fear that my attendance will bring down my overall scores. I have been doing a good job of keeping up with my assignments and have been getting A's and B's but I can't make it for some of the actual lecture sessions. I am going to see an endo specialist next week and depending on how that goes I am considering taking a medical leave from school. The work is piling up and I just don't have the strength. Has anyone taken a medical leave??? How do I go about doing it? I also have an issue with my insurance, if I am not registered for full time status then I do not have coverage. If I take incompletes for this semester and make it up over the summer will that affect the insurance? I need help from anyone that can relate. Some words of wisdom would really help. Or should I just suck it up and deal with it and finish the semester? I feel worse as the semester goes by and I don't know what to do.
