Hi: I only had 2 shots. The side effects I had were continuous bleeding (for 8 months), and severe irritability. On the positve side it eliminated 95% of the pain, my acne, breast tenderness and bloating. There was no real delay between the shot and the effects. It takes a long time to get out of your system. For me it was a full year before the pain returned. So if you don't like it- stop taking it and try something else. Amanda
