advise on Endometriosis and finding a specialist (Australia)From: Melony (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Mar 11 01:14:09 2004
Hi, I was diagnosed with endo in May 2002 via laparoscopy.I was treated for 6 months with Zoladex, which did nothing except give me secondary Osteoperosis (the endo grew astronomically while I was on it), then had a second lap in December 2002 to remove the endo. I was then put on continuous BCP's. I started getting a period each month despite the pill approx 7 months ago, they have tried swapping pills but that didn't work. The pain is getting worse and is starting to hang around all the time again, and I also have worsening bowel problems that I won't disgust you with. I would like to try to find an endo specialist in the Brisbane (Queensland) area. I wondered if anyone had seen a Dr O'Connor at St Andrews? He is one of the names I have found. I would also appreciate any advise anyone could give on what to do next. I am seriously thinking of a hysterectomy.
