Re: Belle, Kristy, Emer, Jen C, Leah and everyone elseFrom: Robert (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Dec 15 21:21:54 1999
Wanda: Yes, ensure plus is awful. My husband used to have to drink it by mouth until they put in the feeding tube. Now all he has to do is pour it in. No taste involved. Though for some reason he does prefer strawberry or butter pecan. He says there's an aftertaste and he doesn't like chocolate or vanilla. I'll let you know how the appointment goes with my doc tomorrow. Will put out an email to the endo forum on what he ends up prescribing. No problem on the websites for CA docs. I've been too busy to even want to tackle that all consuming project. I promise I've been resting between bouts of cleaning and bouts of packing. I'm right on schedule and only have a couple more things to do before Friday gets here. Take care and I hope you have been feeling well. I had to drink that stuff because I was so underweight before I got pregnant....YUCKY....didn't taste very well at all. Please keep me posted with the Dr. appt. I haven't been able to find the websites I was at with the docs in CA yet. If I come across them again...I will send them your way. Hope you are resting!!! Much Love to ya Wanda
> ----- Original Message ----- Wanda: Thanks for asking about Bob. No, the docs haven't put him on vitamins. They did for rapid healing in the hospital but said once he ran out of them to not bother. Oh well, the ensure plus that gets poured into his feeding tube have lots of various vitamins and nutrients. I'll definitely let you know what my doc says on Thursday. Take care and have a wonderful week. I know I miss being able to come straight home and read my mail from my friends on the forum. It seems to be the only thing that keeps me going lately. Not sure if it was a bug or what. I can handle anything besides vomiting! It subsided by the end of the day. Not sure what it is. Please let me know what the outcome with the Dr. is. I can understand about the Vicodin. I am allergic to aspirin, ibuprofen, and the stuff Aleve is made of. I have to take Tylenol based products and it rough! I hope you get some relief from the Dr. That is wonderful that Bob is feeling better. Has the Dr. given him vitamins to keep up his immune system? That is what they did with my father if I remember correctly. Take care. Hope to talk with you soon. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Much love Wanda
> ----- Original Message ----- Wanda: Thanks for your kind words. You are in my thoughts and prayers also. Even though life has become so busy that we're forced to not spend as much time with our forum friends as we want to. So sorry you had a bug to contend with on top of your endo. Hope you are feeling better by the time you get this message. I've been still dealing with pain and have tried not to take too many vicodin due to the tylenol and my liver. I see the doc on Thursday and hope to get new narcotic pain meds. Will definitely post once I'm back from the appointment. Bob is feeling better now that the antibiotics have had a chance to work. Hopefully he won't come in contact with another cold for a long while. The moving preparation is going along smoothly. I've been busy doing apartment cleaning in preparation of our move. I'm doing a little each day and giving myself plenty of rest periods. I think I should virtually have the apartment cleaned up by Tuesday and then all I'll need to do is sweep and wash floors as we're walking out the door on Saturday. Will hopefully have some time to straighten out my file cabinet before the move so I can enter the new apartment with virtually nothing to do. Take care and I'll be in touch with you soon--love you, Leah S. bobsmountain@compaq.net -----Original Message----- From: Wanda <Sunflwer3@hotmail.com> To: Multiple recipients of list ENDO <endo@talk.obgyn.net> Date: Saturday, December 11, 1999 2:09 PM Subject: Belle, Kristy, Emer, Jen C, Leah and everyone else Happy Saturday ladies, I hope this e-mail finds you well. I have been rather busy lately and I wanted to let you all know that I am thinking about you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Kristy, I wanted to let you know that I appreciate the help and information that you have given me. I am still doing research when I have time. I am going to call the Dr. here on Monday to get a consult. I hope you are well and the pain has subsiding and the Darvocet is working. Belle, Sorry about leaving you yesterday on ICQ...I was not feeling well, vomited all morning long, I kept running back and forth from the bathroom...finally went home from work. Feeling much better today. I hope you are okay! I prayed that the pain would subside. Enjoy the warm weather you are having. Emer, I hope the flu has left you. It was wonderful being able to talk to you on ICQ the other night. I was exhausted. The end of the month at work......yuck. I pray that you and hubby are doing well. Leah, I hope you and Bob are feeling well. Have my fingers crossing with all the moving. Hope you have settled in. How is the pain are you okay? Enjoy the holidays!!! Much love Jen C, Sorry I have been preoccupied on ICQ. Between work and trying to get ready for my Brian to get home......I hope your pain is doing better. Hope you and hubby are doing better. Much love to you To everyone, I have been very busy between work, Christmas and preparing for my boyfriend to come home. I hope I haven't missed anything important. I have Hotmail and if my account gets too large, they delete some of the messages, so I am trying to filter through each one. If I miss anything that might be of importance. I apologize now. I hope everyone is having wonderful pain free days Much love and hugs Wanda Orlando, FL
