Becca: I agree, this disease is so very frustrating and effects so many women. It needs adequate research dollars to determine a cure for this dreaded endo. As to the rest, I will address the rest of the email next week once were settled again. Just wanted to let you know I concur with you and each of us needs to do what we can to further the cause for an endo cure. It just destroys too many women and even their partners. I am going to rack my brain till I find an answer here. I am still doing the book and I know that is going to help some. But I need to do more. I am looking for a new profession anyway so maybe this is it. I have never voted for anyone running for an office but am very interested this year in McCain. Well Gore has a female doing a stupid (I think) study for him. Maybe I need to contact McCain and see what he thinks about this woman's issue. Atleast he does seem concerned with some of our issues anyway and he and his wife have adopted. He also knows what it is like to suffer with the feeling of no hope. Well it is a thought. What do all of you think? I also a while back contacted Oprah. I never mentioned it b/c I didn't want to raise hopes. I got one reply and haven't heard back since so I will start putting the pressure on again. We have got to have more voices and I am a firm believer in the fact that one can make a difference for all if perused with heart and determination. On the book we all have been working on. I have two questions at the moment. 1) I have saved the allergies info so far that we have all talked about. It would be of great help if all participating would let me know individually though. Seems alot of us can't take the same things and I find this of importance. 2) It seems a few of us so far have Indian blood in our heritage I would like to know how many of us do. 4) I think the race and personal info such as height is important. Looks like a few of us or alot of us are short in stature. I would like to do the book in the same text as the Chicken Soup books have been done. Some of you I have spoken with do not really want to do a whole chapter so the poems, helpful hints (like the lap preparation info) I think would be great to include. This is a book to help everyone understand the emotions and pain we go through so any and all info I feel are a great asset. I also think a change in mood on the reader's part is a good thing,we all know that in reading to keep the reader interested enough to continue is important. A little humor even (if we can find some) could even be good. I could continue forever with this and I'm sure I'll have alot more soon. Also if anyone knows a Dr. (if for no other reason) wants to make a name for himself or herself maybe we need to get with them on the research of endo. Some great cures I'm sure have come from people that maybe weren't real interested in the people they helped but maybe in putting their name in lights. You know. Don't get me wrong here but I am going to contacting my Dr. for more info on my own story and suggest this to him and ask if he or anyone he knows can help. Well that's all for now.
