Re: ultrasoundsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon Dec 13 21:12:54 1999
-Hi DD, Ultra sound will show any masses such as cysts and endometrioma's<cysts full of endo and or blood> a vaginal ultra sound is a better way to view as it is from the inside,it can be painful but when i had my last one before my last surgery, nothing showed up as my endo had infiltrated my pelvic floor and vaginal walls,so no endo doesn't show up unless it is a cyst or a mass. I hope this answers your question. Best Wishes, Belle. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- How is everyone doing? I'm doing alright so far. I'm just bleeding for one or two days and it stops. And the pain is minimal. I guess the lupron is helping in that respect. I was thinking back to when I went for an ultrasound--they thought I had fibroids--this was before I knew I had endometriosis. I was wondering why the endometriosis didnt show up with the ultrasound. They wanted to do a transvaginal ultrasound on me, but I said no because I was already in a lot of pain. If I had gotten the transvaginal ultrasound, would the endo have shown up? For those of you who have gotten ultrasounds, did the endometriosis show up, or what? Bye for now! DDBernadette
