Hello

I writing on behalf of my 15 year old daughter (Kristen). She has just had her second laparoscopy (her first at age 13). She was diagnosed with endometriosis 1 1/2 years ago. She did the Lupron and then the Depo. She did very well for 1 1/2 years. On 12-28, she had to have a gallbladder removed. She had also started bleeding again and having pretty severe pelvic pain. Therefore, her GYN physician decided to do a hysteroscopy and D&C. We didn't get very good news at all. Her physician said that her endometriosis was worse than before. He has referred her to Emory University Medical Center, Atlanta, Georgia. She is going to a surgeon up there. I have not had a chance to learn much about the surgery they would like to perform yet (but I will). At Emory they are going to do a procedure where they remove nerves and also "clean up" the endometriosis. Have any of you heard of anything like this? Would appreciate if anyone would like to comment.

Happy New Year to you all.

Thanks, Lorna (Kristen's Mom) E-mail: LBeav76124@aol.com
