Hi Suz,

Endometriosis is when the endometrial lining of the uterus, is found outside of the uterus.One theory is retrograde menstruration,which is when you have a period and somehow it back flows,which means it backs up the fallopian tubes and out the fallopian tubes and spills onto the ovaries and into the pelvic cavity and onto the bowel and bladder and uterus,it grows and implants and bleeds cyclicly. Rarely it implants onto the liver and kidneys.,stomach, prancrea's.This is just a theory inregards toThe Retrograde MenstrurationTheory,nothing has been proved as of yet.I hope this helps you to understand abit better.
