Leah, I know you probably already read the other message I sent. Glad Bob is on the road to recovery Yeah!! I hope you are getting better too. Take care. Love Becca
> ----- Original Message ----- Becca: Bob says you are very welcome. He's doing better. He's almost four weeks into the radiation therapy recovery time. He's starting to feel more energy and is gradually getting rid of this cold that he has had. Take care--love you, Leah S. -----Original Message----- From: MARTY <mgraham@telepak.net> To: Multiple recipients of list ENDO <endo@talk.obgyn.net> Date: Sunday, November 14, 1999 10:01 AM Subject: Re: More Virus Information From Bob S. Thanks Bob!!! Good job. Hope you are doing well. Tell Leah hi. Becca T.
> ----- Original Message ----- LADIES Here is the info I promised on the viruses: SYMPTOMS: Unexplained reduction in memory space, slower operation, programs disappearing, unexpected reboots, date and time change, odd screen action, bad sectors on your floppy drive (words missing or computer generated icons showing that the document has been contaminated on your floppy documents). These are the MAIN SYMPTOMS to look for. COMMON FAMILY OF VIRUSES: Cascade, Dark Avenger 1800, Dark Avenger 1.31, Frodo, Green Caterpillar, Jerusalem Standard. THESE ARE THE FATHERS AND MOTHERS OF ALL VIRUSES. How to help prevent infection: 1. Set your virus scan to run every time you boot your computer. 2. Do NOT open any attachments to e-mail's from people you don't know. Attachment's on the endo forum can also be risky, as you can never vouch for the safety nets already in place on the obgyn server. For those that typically do attachments to e-mail, you might want to consider doing it another way as most people who know this rule will likely not open your mail. Attachments can be safe if you want to send to a specific person but through the server may not be overly wise. 3. Run scandisk on your hard drive once a week. If you want directions on how to do this, please let me know. 4. Scan any floppy disk given to you before running it. Again, if you need instructions on how to do this, please let me know. I will explain how to remove these little virus pests later. Hope this helps a little bit. Have a happy, pain free day. Thanks, Bob S.
