Jennifer... It has been a bad day, and I am sorry it has collided with your bad day. Your words were very wise, and I hope all will listen. I have been here since June myself and not sure I would have survived the summer without it. I have never seen it like it has been today and last night. Hopefully it will blow over, and we can all move on. Good luck with finding a listening doctor...I know that is a difficult predicament to be in. Prayers for the group itself. Love, Lisa << I know that I'm PMSing here but between my bad day and the endo list's bad day, I'm in tears here... I thought we were supposed to be supportive of one another since we all know that doctors aren't. This is the first list that I joined for endo that I felt confident enough to ask questions. Where it seemed to be a friendly atmosphere with love and understanding...something I don't get here all the time at home. I'm surprised to see what seem to be so many misunderstandings (or maybe this is the incorrect term to be using here) going on between people who should be on the same side of the railroad tracks on the issue of endo. My doctor told me to take a series of 6 shots of lupron-after doing much investigation of this drug on the web I decided not to take the shots. After a conference with her, myself, and my husband, I am surprised to hear that she was extremely upset that I researched this drug. I am in the process of finding a new understanding doctor.
My point to this story is that we don't always follow the advice given to
us...we use our best judgment as to what we should do. With that said, I do
hope that Belle, Emer and the others stay on the list...Belle and Emer have
helped out quite a good number of people on this list since I subscribed to
the list in Oct. To all those thinking of quitting, please don't give
up-many of us, I'm sure, appreciate your advice and reassurances. To me,
it's like giving in to this damn disease...
