To all endo sisters(-in-law), Hello! I'm Chris, Rachel's husband. I wanted to update you on her surgery that was performed today. She was tken into surgery about 1:10 pm. They had a hard time starting her IV (they always do), so it took about 45 minutes to start the operation. Everything went pretty smooth. Her right ovary had a cyst on it the size of a tennis ball. Her left ovary had grown onto her bowel. They performed a full hysterectomy. They had to leave a piece of ovary tissue on her bowel. They removed everything vaginally. If they really wanted to get that last piece of tissue they would have had to open an incision in her abdomen. She is a little concerned that that tissue will make the endo come back. We get to as kthe doctor more about that in the morning. Lastly, I would personally thank ALL of you for your support and prayers through all of this. She finally found someone who understood. You all said the right things at the right time. You cared when she felt that other thought that she was imagining it. For that, I am eternally grateful.
