Hi Jenn,

Your O2 on the machine can be 99-100 and still be having an Asthma attack. Everytime I have been to the ER, they put the machine on my finger and the lowest I think the O2 was 97 and that was during an Asthma attack. At least your PCP is caring and understands! I know how you feel. When I was 16, I think it was......I was having a lot of probs that winter( mine seems to be more prominent in the winter) I had went to the ER for probably the second time one week. Well, instead taking me back right away, this nurse that I had dealt with before and was very mean and rude let me sit out in the waiting room. I kept getting worse....I went in there told her that If she didn't do something that I was going to march back there and do the da**ed treatment myself. Needless to say I got some service! I would try to go to the other hospital if you can make it. Also, I would write the Hospital Admin about that nurse and include records from your doc. What scares me is that she didn't know the O2 level could be that high during an Asthma attack. What did she actually learn during school? I hope you are feeling better. Pain-free wishes to you and clear breathing!

Love and Hugs Wanda Orlando, FL
