Sheri,

That sounds a lot like the last gyn I had. One time I called a bunch of times about something and it took them 4 weeks to get back to me just to tell me no. When I first started going to this dr I had to call every day for 5 days to find out about the pics from my first lap. Another time it took 4 days for the nurse to get back to me. What I discovered is that his office was highly disorganized all the way from the top to the bottom. I have since found another gyn.

When I called a dr's office about the transfer of my grandma's records to a new dr I was told by the records department that it hadn't been done yet. Well, my mother and I were fuming so I decided to call the ins co about it. They said for me to leave a message for the office manager.

My feeling is that your dr might be real busy, and yes it's possible that he might be too busy for you but since you trust him and like him I would suggest calling the office and ask to speak to the Office Manager. Tell her what you have told us here and how much you don't appreciate not hearing from him. It might help get things straightened out.

I graduated from a Medical Secretary program at the local community college here in my hometown. As a result of that I have been able to sit and observe the inner workings of a medical office. It does get a little crazy every so often.

I hope that you don't have any more problems in getting an answer. I also hope that you are doing well.

Kristy :)
