Re: Went to the Gyn - difficult visitFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netThu Sep 30 22:20:41 1999
Hi LeAnn... I had been wondering about how you were so I am glad you did write in. I'm so sorry you have had such a frustrating time of it. I can't imagine what this doctor could say in a letter that he couldn't just say to you in person...that is a new one for me. Are you having alot of pain around your scar? I am glad that you do like your pain doctor...I'd like to hear about what he does for you specifically if you wouldn't mind and find the time to share that. I sure hope you get some answers...an exam should not be that painful, and your doctor should know that?! And good luck with your job change...an understanding boss would definitely make a world of difference. Best wishes to you. Lisa B. << Hi Ladies,
I haven't wrote in a while and some of you may not have ever heard of me.
So
I
just want to say welcome to the new ladies and hello to everyone. But I
also
wanted
to tell you all what happened to me on Tuesday when I went to see the Dr. It
started out as a frustrating day any way, because I woke up with a bad cold
or
sinus infection. I didn't feel like getting out of bed much less going to
the dr, and
before I went to my appt I had to go to the Personnel Cabinet for the State
Govt. I
work for and apply for some other jobs, because my boss (who is male, single
and
early 50's) has been a real crab lately and I cant take it much longer. Got
that done,
and went on to the Dr. Well, I thought I was going to kill him before I got
off that
table, he hurt me and had me bleeding so bad, I thought I was going to
scream.
Everywhere he touched hurt, and everything he did hurt. He told me that he
will send me a letter in a couple of weeks and that he wanted to see me in 6
months, or
sooner if I needed too. He didn't offer any explanations or answers as to
why it hurt
so bad this time or anything. I asked him several times, all he would say
is
I will send you a letter or call you. He is the one that got me in with the
pain dr I go to and
I like him a lot. I see him next week. Hopefully, he can give me some more
answers.
I am just so frustrated with it all. He did say he could do another lap if
I
wanted to,
but it would have to be up to me and the pain dr (who is also my
anesthesiologist).
I said no thanks, I think I will wait. My pain dr thinks I have adhesions
around my
c-section scar and he also thinks I have a hernia. The gyn didn't say
anything about
either of those things when I asked.
