Dominique, Hello. Most cysts go away on their own and alot of women don't know that they even have them. Sometimes they don't cause pain. When they burst (depending on hwat kind of cyst) it either flows as old blood or chocolate blood or clear fluid. It just depends on the kind. If its a dermoid it does'nt burst because i don;t think that it can because of the parts to it. (skin, teeth, nails, etc.) Well I hope that answered any question you had. Oh, with the chocolate or endometrioma it will or can cause more problems if the bleeding stays in the abdomen, scarring will occur. Even when it leaves I believe it does. I hope i remembered everything right.
