Lelia, That is awful! I have a doctor who feels the same way! He told my husband that it's all gone, and that the endo in the scar is not operable but shouldn't be giving me any problems (what's wrong with this picture?)...so I had to explain to my believing husband that this doc is wacko. Pardon me...he is a good surgeon, but he is not an endo specialist, and without a specialist it's pretty much touch and go...sometimes even with. There is not a cure. Please contact the Endo Association and let them give you some advice. I'm sorry you had to come into contact with such a non-understanding person when you really needed some understanding. I'm a college student too and followed your talks on that issue. Well I have
only had one lap in 96 when I was dx. I was immediately put on depo provera
and remained ignorant of endo for yrs. (this doctor didnot remove my endo) I
have found an RE who is willing to do another lap , we're waiting on my cycle
to come back. Well I called the diablility office just now because I'm
spotting and I know my pain is coming back soon. I'll miss classes and it was
really bad before and debilitating(pain). Woman at the disability office made
several remarks that truly upset me. she said oh my secretary had that and
she's fine! I tried to explain my concern that my doctor may /may not write a
note explaining my condition is chronic and the absences i may have. ( which
we all know some docs won't give pain meds or won't excuse absences cause
they don't think we're in that much pain) well the thing that really upset me
was this woman said blah blah Maybe he can cure you the way you want to be
cured!!! what kinda crap is that? I can't believe in trying to explain endo
to her that this is what she got from me? did I do that bad a job? Now the
people at the disability office aren't gonna be behind me cause they seem to
think I am not cured the way i want to be! *&&$#####!!!!! this burns me up. I
want to call her back and say that yah your secretarys probably not fine she
has been told wrong and just doesn't know that she's still having problems
and is not cured!
Help! what do I do?
