Re: *ggggrrrrrr*From: anonymous@obgyn.netThu Sep 23 12:50:58 1999
I'm so sorry! Will people ever understand? I had the same feeling from my husband's family here, though they were wonderful about helping with the move and all. Just after a while, the understanding wore off. It is very hard for people to understand things that don't go away. That is why the forum is so good! I say send a nice printout about endo to your boss, mom and anyone else that needs a look. But I don't think we can count on making them understand, and we more have to concentrate on making do without it. Just my opinion, and I do care! Lisa B. << Sorry all, I'm just having a really rough day today. I'm hurting, and I screwed into five hours of overtime. (as if the first nine hours of today weren't bad enough!) Does anyone have ANY SUGGESTIONS on how to make a skeptical boss understand what I'm going through? He looks at me and thinks I look fine, so I must just be trying to get out of work. *sighs* All the doctors and emergency room visits don't seem to convince him otherwise. And my family is even worse. My mother, who is a very traditional woman, says that "cramps are just our curse to bear... because EVE ate the apple." *sighs* How do I explain to her that this isn't just PMS, that my insides are as lumpy as the Rocky Mountains. How do I make her see that I'm not being whiny or a pain in the ass... I'm in very real pain. Please... I'm only 22 years old, and I really want (and need) their support. If it weren't for an extremely supportive and understanding boyfriend, I'd be in the loony bin by now... anybody? anything? Thanks in advance... 'lizabeth >>
