Re: 17 years and I'm still fighting, Isn't there something new?

Lisa, Thanks for your reply. Actually they have never done a lap on me at all. They opened me wide up and cleaned the mess out last time (17 years ago). Since then they just do ultrasounds and figure that it's back and drug me for a while and let it go. A year later we do it all again. Fun Huh? I did see my GP today and he got a copy of my full ultrasound (he ordered an abdominal and my GYN ordered a pelvic, he got copies of both) He was was very helpful and explained things quite clearly to me and also sent me to a new GYN and said he would send me to the University if I didn't get satisfaction from this new Doctor. He said that the ultrasound showed a cyst on both ovaries both about 2" in size, and aI fibroid on my uterus. He needs to take my Gallbladder out but wants to wait until this new GYN sees me. Then he wants to try to double up the sugeries. He would like to see them go in and clean it out but since I'm not planning on getting pregnant anytime soon he's afraid of scar tissue forming making it more difficult when I do.

I worry that all my other doctors just didn't want to be bothered with it since they haven't ever tried anything but drugs and now he just wants to take everything completely out. I told my GP I just want to buy me at least 4 more years. After I'm 40 I'll learn to except not getting married and having a family. Right now I'm not willing to give up hope.
