Re: Laparoscopy Done - And Got No AnswersFrom: Ana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Sep 10 13:04:35 1999
Kay, I can relate so well!I was diagnosed with Endo 11 years ago and had a hysterectomy when I was 23. All was well till recently. I have had a colonoscopy, and a EGD, both came out normal of course. But I had a bad barium swallow. But my doctor(general med.) tossed about some various diseases then settled on IBS. He put me on Phenabarb. NO help at all. So I'm going to a Gyn who specializes in endo. I think I have recurring Endo on my intestines. I don't know if you have had the scope tests but they could prove to be helpful if only by ruling out certain diseases such as Crohns, Whipples, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis just to name a few. There are so many things that it could be. Be persistent with your doctor. IBS is very commonly diagnosed when they don't really know what the problem is. IBS is like a catch all.But the symptoms of IBS effect everyone differently. Hang in there and take it day by day. God Be with you, Ana
