I remember the weight gain from the last time I had the shots (Jan 98) and so I asked my family doctor to prescribe a weight loss pill - I didn't ask my gyno because I figured he'd think I was crazy!! My family doctor (who knows about the Lupron shots) prescribed a water pill (HTCZ ??) and Phentermine 37.5 mg for the weight loss. Last month I lost about 15 pounds. (Keep in mind that I am about 50 pounds overweight.) I am also trying to eat a balanced diet - using the CORRECT PORTION SIZES ! I really don't exercise all that much - I don't have the energy to. Phentermine is available in different doses (from 17.5 to 37.5). Make sure that you do not have heart problems, etc.; because you can have your heart stop. The meds have worked so far for me.
