Re: Results of the visit to the drFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Sep 4 14:32:44 1999
Lisa, Trying to understand things about hormone imbalances and bcps, etc can be very confusing. I spent a lot of time learning about bcps b/c of an experience I had with the Loestrin last summer. As a result of all that learning it carried over in to the menopause section b/c I have had to answer some of my mom's questions about hormones, etc. Yes, my dr does explain things very well and is very knowledgable. Her understanding of endo is fantastic especially since she's one of our endo sisters. She's a good teacher. I wish that every dr could be like her. One can always hope, right? As for you understanding everything that you need to about hormones, I think that you will get it soon. To help you further check out Dr. Susan Love. She wrote a book about the breast, but within the last few years she wrote a book about hormones and menopause, etc. It's called "Dr. Susan Love's Hormone Book". Your local library should have it. I haven't read that book but I know about her style of writing from having read her breast book. It was excellent. I hope that helps you out. Just try not to overwhelm yourself. Let me know how things go with the dr next time you see him. I do intend to have a wonderful weekend. You do the same. Kristy :) http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Falls/4659/kristyspage.html
