Re: Results of the visit to the dr

Hi Kristy, And thank you for the update. It is sounding a bit confusing or is that just me?? I am trying to wade through a book by Dr. Lee which mentions these things resulting from "hormone imbalance" and taking bcp's. Well, surprise, surprise. If I ever get this hormone thing learned, I will have conquered the last leg of my battle...for now at least. But I am not at all science minded, which seems to be a hindrance! But your angel doctor seems very knowledgeable and explains things well to you, and I am sure she will get you fixed up. Congrats on seven hours in panties with no pain! That is an improvement, isn't it?? For some reason, I can barely tolerate soap at this point...I took a bath an hour ago, and I am still burning. Hmmm...questions for the doctor I suppose, and we shall see how he responds. I will have to act like I don't anything though...he seems to like it better that way. :) You have a great weekend, Kristy! Lisa B.

<< The visit was a good one. I got an unexpected surprise though. The first thing that I was told was that I had a UTI.

Dominique, the dr is putting me on Ceftin to treat it. I will be taking it twice a day for 7 days.

Stace and Lisa B, my "angel" dr said that she was going to treat the vulvar pain that I'm having as if I have what is called vulvovestibulitis. The reason for this is b/c the pain seems to stay in the same general area. The pain was constant for about a month even though it's been bothering me longer than that. She wants me to use a topical steroid cream for the area for 2 weeks. After that I have to go back in for a follow-up on this to see if it clears up.

My dr also said that sometimes with this condition that sometimes the patient gets put on oral steroids but she wants to stay as conservative with me as she can. She also went on to say that I can't use my premarin cream for now. It will be about 3 weeks since I have used it last but that's ok b/c I haven't had a need for it as of yet. I can mix the steroid cream with the xylocaine but that's it.

I will be starting my antibotic later on. On an additional positive note, I was able to wear my underwear for 7 hours yesterday with hardly any pain. That is great progress for me compared to what I went thru on Mon with them.

My next appt with the dr is on the 17th at 8:30 in the a.m.

Lisa B, my dr is doing just fine, and the other lady is doing well also. Also, I'm fine now after that situation. It just helped me appreciate even more what a wonderful choice I have made. It makes me feel safe if you know what I mean. Also, let's hope that the 2 week appt is the last one for a very long time.

Tina, thanks for the well wishes. That meant a lot to me.

I guess that's about it for the time being and will keep you posted yet again as to how this pain does, etc.

Have a wonderful weekend every one.

Kristy :) >>
