Re: Should I get a 2nd opinion?

I'm another one in the "not being helped by lupron boat". At last appt on July 8th, I agreed reluctanlty to have the fourth shot. Having lots of side effects but no good effects. My reg gynie off on mat leave; both her and the replacement have told me the lupron is the best thing - but its not helping, and I'm not having any more shots. Obgyn said maybe if the 4th shot didn't help we should try danocrine, depo, another lap... I don't like the sound of danocrine, and struggle with being a guinea pig for longer. I'm having constant pain, and don't want to continue to live like this - no, I don't mean that I'm suicidal, just that I am sooooo fed up! When I talked to gyn last appt re: hyst she said she doesn't want to do it yet cause its only the second time she'd seen me. Well, Thursday will be the third, and I might not be very pleasant - especially cause I called five times this week, once got a real body, practically begging for pain meds, and begged to at least be called back if it was only to tell me that the doc wouldn't call a prescription in to the drugstore - and, guess what, didn't happen. I was sooo mad - how do you tell someone, no, you can't have a hyst, and at the same time, not give them more meds to help manage the pain, you know what I mean?!?! Grrrrrrr. Anyways, sorry I babbled so much. Just wanted to let you know you have lots of company in the lupron boat!! :) take care and hope everyone is having a painfree weekend. luv, Amy
