need advice on ovarian cystsFrom: Michelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat Jul 31 14:34:59 1999
Dear endo sisters, It was either this month or last I wrote and asked if anyone was dealing with ovarian cysts and endo at the same time. You all were very helpful to me. One of you sent a list of links on ovarian cysts. One of the links was to a site that had like a tutorial on the varies types of ovarian cysts and it showed the sonogram which pertained to each type. I have searched the archives, sites, etc. and I can't find this site again to save my life. I accidentally erased it before I had a chance to bookmark that site. I really need to find it again because I had my second sonogram this month and the doctors secretary said it was normal. I couldn't understand that because I watched the screen as the sonographer was porforming the sonogram and I saw how big my ovaries were. I have been having excruciating pain down there and they are so big that I can feel them. My bowls are obstructed also. Could my bowls be pushing against my ovaries and be causing the pain?? Also, I noticed that my ovaries were in a different location this time as opposed to the last time. Is this normal for them to move like that??? Maybe I've just totally lost my mind. My husband says that the secretary isn't allowed to give out that type of info about tests results. I know that the time I called her, she didn't asked for the normal type of verifacation. I told her my name, then two seconds later she told me it was normal. I know I was born at night, but it wasn't last night. Shouldn't it have took her longer than a few seconds to find my report, and then after finding my report, she would have to know how to read the results. I've never had a secretary give me the results before, I don't know if it is legal or just the way his office handles things??? I want to know what ya'll think about this. Should I call and ask to speak to the dr. directly or just let things be like it is. I'm planning on switching dr.s anyway as soon as my family physician comes back to town so he can referr me. The current ob/gyn did make a huge mistake with my cousins wife while she was pregnate. He made her go 3 weeks past her due date because he didn't think the baby was big enough to survive. It almost killed the baby, she ended up weighing 10lbs. 14 oz. and having breathing problems, etc. accosiated with staying in the womb too long. Any advice would be apreciated. Thanks.
