Re: Opinions Needed

I would not advice going directly to him. Not unless you are prepared for what he might say. I did the same thing last year. I was seeing a woman dr. that was in her residency under a male dr. I wasn't satisfied with her care, or lack of care, shall I say. She told me there was nothing wrong with me and that she had never heard of a woman bleeding excessivly and having pains in both sides of her lower pelvic region. My pap came back abnormal and my fsh came back elevated. She also never told me what was causing my breast discharge. She said that she wasn't worried about the abnormal pap, that she still didn't think anything was wrong so she wouldn't treat it. I was terrified at that point of not knowing what was wrong with me, I had been hurting on a daily basis for almost a year by then. I went to see the doc. in charge of her. He blessed me out and told me that she was my doc. and I was just a lousy patient. Not to ever come back and see him, if I had a problem, I should address it to her. He also said he would agree with any diagnosis that she gave. Needless to say I left his office in tears. I cried that whole day and felt helpless. I douted my own sanity. It took me over four months before I got my nerve up to see another doc. Thats when I got the sonogram done and the cysts were found, etc. I guess what I'm saying is, if you've already had a bad experience with him, don't tempt fate twice, it could actually make things worse for you by talking to him. I wish you the best of luck. Michelle
