Dear Larissa, Before I had my laparotomy 8 yrs.ago for severe endo, four doctors thought that I may have had cancer. Luckily, it was "just" endo. My ovarian cysts had looked suspicious on the ultrasounds. A pathologists report after the surgery showed that no malignancies could be found. A surgeon usually has a pretty good idea when he opens you up if everything looks okay, but the testing needs to be done on the tissue to be certain. Without the pathologist's report, there is no way to know for sure. I know that not knowing is the worst part. Take it easy. -Linda S
