Trust me, Emer, no one will want to get within 100 meters of you..... The effects sneak up slowly, like a snake ready to strike.... One day you'll feel a little warmer than usual, and then...POW!!! Hot flushes to make you wish you were dead!!! Wear layered clothing. Buy a portable or hand held fan. Hang on for the ride of your life!!! JUST REMEMBER - it's not permanent. Just temporary. Focus on your breathing when a flush hits - and get away from everyone! Also, a very big help to me was this lovely lady who was also going through natural menopause (just so happended to be my Mom). We could compare symptoms and laugh!! On my 27th birthday, she took me out to dinner, and since she was just starting menopause, she asked me what it was like.... I almost killed her, I swear!! How unfair is that, huh? Well, my little sardonic friend, send me just ONE MORE snotty e-mail and I will come over there and kick your hiney!!!! :-) Lisa P.S. Best of luck with Lupron.
