Re: A lap and then try to get pregnant?..From: Allan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Jul 11 17:37:03 1999
I think it probably depends on where the endo is, what else they find, etc. I had my lap and endo removal in mid Feb and had hopes of having a greater chance of getting pregnant. But, my obgyn wanted to start me on lupron about a month after thinking it would help shrink the endo as well as the adeno which she believes I have. Her theory is that if I stick out 6 months with the lupron then our best chance of getting preg will be in the 6 months after that, including maybe using fertility drugs and sperm washing. I just think we need to make the point that having a lap does not necessarily mean that conception will be more likely, so people aren't getting their hopes up thinking its a certainty, you know? I think its great that so many people have become preg post lap though. For me, I had a lot of problems with infection and healing afterwards, and a lot of pain, and there is NO way my hubby would have gotten near me to try and have sex!!!! :) Hope everyone's had a good weekend, luv, Amy
